Trip Itinerary

The trip commences with an 11 Km ride from Thamel to Tinpiple which is almost switchback and at times slightly uphill on a paved road early in the morning. We then ride off-road on the edge of Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park up to Tokha where we take a Nepali-tea break, on the way observing farmlands, watching children walking to school and experiencing local Newari communities and temples. From Tokha we climb uphill through the Sivapuri forest for almost half an hour. From the top, we witness the panoramic view of the Kathmandu valley refreshing yourself with drinks. Gathering up, we ride downhill for 3 Km to Budanilkantha, where we visit the famous temple with the same name, also known to many as ‘Sleeping God’. Here, we take lunch, rest for a while, and ride back to Thamel, ending our short-time together.
